I am pleased to extend my warm greetings to all visitors of the Tamil Nadu Prisoners Welfare Council (TNPWC) website.
Since 1921, now for more than a century, TNPWC has stood as a symbol of Tamil Nadu’s commitment to compassion, reformation, and second chances.
Today, as we continue this legacy, our focus remains firmly on enabling every released prisoner to rebuild their life with dignity, confidence, and opportunity. Rehabilitation is not merely a service — it is a mission that strengthens families, communities, and society as a whole.
At TNPWC, we work to bridge the gap between prison and society by offering support, guidance, skill development, counselling, and financial assistance wherever possible. Our initiatives are designed to ensure that every individual leaving prison is met with a pathway to growth, not barriers.
With renewed administrative strength, transparency, and community participation, we are committed to transforming welfare into empowerment.
I firmly believe that effective reintegration is a collective responsibility. I invite citizens, institutions, and partners to join hands with us in creating a more inclusive, empathetic, and safer Tamil Nadu.
Together, let us build a society where every reformed individual is given the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and live with honour.
